Copy Cats Game Features

Copy Cats is a five-reel, 25-payline slot which comes in the standard 5x3 format. The bet structure allows flexibility to better suit most gamers: you can bet from as little as € 0.25 to a maximum of € 250 by choosing the coin size and also choosing between one to ten bets per line.

Set in a row of houses in what appears to be a tranquil neighbourhood, the Copy Cats are begging for your attention, eyeing you or sticking out their tongue at you. There are three cats, a red one who we’re going to call Max (you’ll soon know why), a purple cat who we’re going to call Smokey, and a blue cat who really deserves to be called Oscar. There’s a fourth, golden cat with a purple ball of string acting as a wild, so we’ll call him Wildcat. There are other symbols: a wind-up toy mouse, a milk bottle and yesterday’s brunch, fish bones. Other minor symbols come in the form of coloured paws, which is what you tend to find if you have a house full of cats.

The game itself is rather simple to play – you win on any of the paylines by landing identical symbols from left to right, and it’s the Wildcat who will help you earn bigger payouts here.

Copy Cats Free Spins and bonuses

The Wildcat isn’t the only one that can trigger the Copy Cat feature. In fact, if you land either Max, Smokey, Oscar or Wildcat stacked on the first reel they will substitute all other cat symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 to turn them into the same cat symbol as the one on the first reel; what happens now is that the cat is really and truly out of the bag, and will return huge prizes to your doorstep. Yeah, they deserve their treat now.

Copy Cats’ Free Spins feature is triggered by the Bonus symbol (the bell symbol) landing on reels 1, 3 and 5. You will get ten free spins for this, but even during the feature you can get an additional 10 free spins if the Bonus symbol lands where it should once again. Throughout the feature, the Copy Cats feature remains available as cat symbols on reel 1 will act as wilds: more wilds, bigger wins!

Copy Cats Payouts

The three cats offer different rewards according to how many of them land on the reels. Max is worth 200 coins (not redeemable against tins of catfood) for landing 5 times on the reels, with a minimum of 25 coins for 3 hits. Smokey goes from a minimum of 20 coins to a maximum of 150 while the grumpier Oscar is worth a minimum of 15 coins to a maximum of 100. The other “inanimate” symbols are worth a minimum of 10 coins each, but the mouse is worth a maximum of 75 coins, the milk a maximum of 50 and the fish a maximum of 30 coins each. Paw symbols peak at a maximum of 25 each.

You’ll really want Max to trigger the Copy Cat feature. More than you’d want him gnawing away at your phone charger.

Copy Cats Graphics

The detail in Copy Cats will make your tail tingle – the highly detailed, cartoonish graphics are animated so we’ve got Oscar and Max making impish facial expressions while Smokey gives us the pleading look of “feed/stroke me”. The milk bottle shines and – whoa – did we catch that fish skeleton bat its eyelids? The jazz soundtrack lends itself beautifully to the mischievous cartoonish setting of the slot, reminding us of the good old days spent watching Tom haunting Jerry haplessly around the house.

NetEnt’s interface allows you to switch off the sound and music at any time, and options for quick spin and spin via spacebar also exist. The design is clean yet the Spin, Autoplay and Max Bet stand out clearly. Your total number of coins, balance and bet amount are all displayed on the main screen, while the Info button on the left hand side of the screen will tell you more about the paylines, game features and symbol payout values.

Copy Cats Conclusion

Cats are fun and entertaining and with Copy Cats you don’t even need to take out their litter. With the possibility of winning big through the Copy Cats and Free Spins feature there’s hours of fun to be had. Are you ready to start clawing away at the big prize?
